Marie Ann (née Pulzello) Cantelmo, ‘Tootsie’ as she was known to all who knew and loved her, 94 ½ of Four Seasons at Wall passed away peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick NJ.
Marie was born in Hackensack to the late John and Rose (née Liquori) Polsi (Pulzello) and had resided in Howell Twp. for many years before moving to Wall Twp. 28 years ago.
Marie was a graduate of the Parisian Beauty Academy and had been employed as a Beautician at Hair Control, Freehold retiring at the age of 90.
She was a Communicant of St. Catharine – St. Margaret Parish, Spring Lake.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband James Cantelmo, and her grandson Justin Patrick Cruz.
Surviving are her devoted children and their spouses James Cantelmo III and wife Marie F. of Monmouth Beach, and Michele C. Cruz and husband Warren of Wall Twp., her sister Angela Le Grande of Mahwah, her grandchildren James IV, Ashley, Jordan, Elizabeth, and Victoria and 2 great grandchildren Evelyn and Mia and one on the way.
Visitation on Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2023 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ 07719 A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10:30am in St. Elizabeth Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Please meet at the Church on Monday. Entombment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery, Washington Twp.
