The post-season honors continue rolling in for Immaculata pitcher Jason Hughes. The junior from Warminster was selected to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-America Second Team this week.
Hughes finished the season with a 9-2 record and a 1.97 earned run average for the Mighty Macs. He set program records for wins in one season with nine, strikeouts in one season with 101, and strikeouts in one game with 12, which he did on two occasions in 2023. He limited opponents to a .202 batting average and only allowed five extra-base hits all season.
Earlier this week Hughes – a graduate from William Tennant High School — was named the Region Five Pitcher of the Year, and a First Team All-Region Selection by both D3Baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings. He was also named to the Division III All-America Second Team by D3Baseball.com.
