A serious crash shut down all westbound lanes on Route 80 in Netcong, near the Mount Olive border, overnight Friday and left two people injured.
The crash around 10:30 p.m. Friday, near Route 46 and Exit 26, shutdown the lanes until 5:15 a.m. Saturday, stated New Jersey State Trooper II Charles Marchan.
Marchan said that the preliminary investigation revealed that a 31-year-old Hackettstown man driving a Honda Odyssey, with a 31-year-old Hackettstown man as a passenger, struck the rear of a disabled dump truck in the right lane near milepost 26.3 on Route 80 west.
The passenger of the minivan sustained serious injuries, while the driver moderate injuries, he said. The driver of the dump truck, a 28-year-old Dayton man, was not injured in the crash.
