THIS AFFECTS ALL NORTH FAYETTE COUNTY COUNTY WATER CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS MOUNTAIN WATER ASSOCIATION CUSTOMERS. THAT IS SOUTH OF UNIONTOWN IN FAYETTE COUNTY. DO NOT DRINK WATER
North Fayette County Municipal Authority issues boil water advisory
A boil water advisory has been put in place for customers of the North Fayette County Municipal Authority and the Mountain Water Association South of Uniontown. They say there is a possibility of contaminated water from rainwater in the main reservoir in Dunbar. They are asking all customers to boil water for one minute before use, including brushing their teeth and washing food.The agency says it has contacted the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to resolve the possible contamination.
