STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) – Four local high school baseball teams will have the opportunity to take the field at Lubrano Park for a quartet of PIAA championship programs.
Saturday, April 20, teams from Bellefonte, Bald Eagle Area, State College and DuBois Central Catholic will square off in the inaugural Happy Valley Hardball Classic on Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, home of the State College Spikes.
Each team will play two games in the tournament, with the championship game taking place under the lights at 6 p.m. Admission is free for all games and food and beverage will be available for purchase.
The full Happy Valley Hardball Classic schedule is as follows:
- 9 a.m. – Bellefonte vs. Bald Eagle Area
- 12 p.m. – State College vs. DuBois Central Catholic
- 3 p.m. – Consolation Game
- 6 p.m. – Championship Game
Parking will be available in the Porter North and Jordan East lots. It is free for fans who hold a valid Penn State parking permit. Pre-paid parking is available through the ParkMobile app and will cost $5.50 and day-of-event parking will cost $40 due to the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials happening concurrently at the Bryce Jordan Center. Additional parking will be available at the East Parking Deck for $1.
