Elizabeth Mazzeo, the retired former chief administrative officer of Bloomberg, and Chris Paladino, president of the New Brunswick Development Corp., have been named to the board of Public Media, NJ, the operator of NJ PBS, it was announced Thursday.
Board Chair Scott Kobler, a partner at McCarter & English, said he was thrilled to make the announcement.
“They are influential business leaders who have made their mark in New Jersey and their experience and insight are key to the future growth and public awareness of NJ PBS,” he said.
As chief administrative officer at Bloomberg, Mazzeo had responsibility for the company’s global support team across more than 170 offices, more than 40,000 client firms and more than 20,000 employees.
Her department of more than 1,700 people was responsible for the operation of Bloomberg’s global real estate and facilities portfolio, supply chain, security, travel and expense along with technical customer and employee support and infrastructure.
Mazzeo, who received a degree in business administration from the Villanova School of Business, is a former member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at VSB — and has been a member of Villanova’s board of trustees since 2013. She became its chair in 2023.
Paladino has served as president of Devco since 1994. Under his leadership, Devco has developed 8.3 million square feet in residential, commercial, academic and institutional development projects valued at $3.5 billion. He currently is leading the development of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center project, together with a new elementary school. Also underway is H-1 @ the Helix, a $730 million facility which, along with the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, will include a translational research facility in partnership with Rutgers University and the New Jersey Innovation Hub to provide space for startups and entrepreneurs.
Most recently, Paladino led the completion of the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center and residential tower. Prior projects completed under Paladino’s stewardship have included the development of the new Atlantic City campus for Stockton University, the South Jersey Gas headquarters, the College Avenue Redevelopment Initiative on the Rutgers University – New Brunswick campus, and the renovation of the former Rutgers Law School in Newark as university housing. He received both his bachelor’s and law degrees from Rutgers University.
He has served as a distinguished senior policy fellow at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and is a trustee of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital board and director of South Jersey Industries.
