Wind sticks around for next couple of days…
TONIGHT: Breezy, Chilly. Lo 32.
TUESDAY: Breezy. Hi 46. Lo 34.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly Cloudy, Stray Shower. Hi 52. Lo 28.
We saw some snow shower activity in the afternoon, mostly confined to the mountains, as high hit the mid 40s. Lows drop below freezing tonight as winds stick around and add a little bit of a wind chill factor. Jackets will be a necessity heading out the door Tuesday. Quite the flip compared to last week and considering that Spring is at our doorstep. The equinox officially occurs tomorrow night at 11:06 EDT, by the way. The weather certainly won’t feel like it.
The cooler air from Sunday’s front will bring high temperatures in the 40s for the majority of this week. Overnight lows will get colder too, dropping into the upper 20s by Wednesday night. That will occur behind a clipper system that could bring a few showers with it on Wednesday. Breezy weather persists this week too, adding to the early Spring chill. It was nice having a week of above-average temperatures last week, but now the region will be below average for much of this week. The great March flip-flop pattern returns for another year!
Next weekend may see some additional clouds, but a warm-up is also possible if rain can hold off long enough. Forecast guidance brings some rain northward along the coast that could be a part of our weather as early as Saturday or as late as Sunday night into Monday. It is a slow evolution in the weather pattern, so a clearer view of that part of the forecast should come into focus over the next few days. Temperatures should be back into the 50s for Saturday and Sunday. We’ll keep you posted.
