More snow on tap for early Saturday…
TODAY: Increasing Clouds, Stray PM Shower. Hi 41. Winds: S 10-15 mph. Gusts to 30 mph.
TONIGHT: Clearing Skies, Breezy. Lo 31. Winds: SW 10-20 mph. Gusts to 35 mph.
FRIDAY: Mostly Sunny, Clouds Late, Breezy. Hi 40. Winds: NW 15-20 mph. Gusts to 30 mph.
This morning is starting much colder than yesterday thanks to clear skies, calm winds, and what’s left of the recent snowpack. Despite the chilly start (some places are in the teens!), temperatures will warm to just above 40° this afternoon thanks to plenty of sunshine and a stiff southerly breeze. Clouds will increase, however, ahead of a weak wave that will push through this evening. It will come with a stray rain shower or two, mainly over the western counties. Tonight will then bring clearing skies, gusty winds, and lows in the lower 30s.
Friday also looks breezy but with more sunshine. Highs will be around 40° to close out the work week. Clouds will increase Friday evening as another clipper tracks toward Central PA. This system does not appear to have quite the punch or amount of moisture as Tuesday’s, but will still bring more snow to the region. The latest model data shows light snow developing overnight Friday and lasting into Saturday morning. The clipper exits around daybreak Saturday morning and will leave behind 1-3″ of powdery snow.
After a weeklong stretch of wintry weather, mild air returns early next week with highs in the 40s and perhaps nearing 50°. It looks like a quiet stretch next week too. We’ll keep you posted.
