LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Nicholas Lambros Jr. was approved as the new Head Football Coach of Cedar Crest High School at the Cornwall-Lebanon School District Board of School Directors meeting on Monday.
Lambros has served on the coaching staff at Cedar Crest for 20 years, including as an assistant football coach for the last three head coaches. Lambros was also a defensive coordinator for the past seven years.
“Coaching is an extension of teaching,” said Lambros. “My ultimate dream has been to provide the same kind of positive experiences to our student athletes that I was afforded as a student at Cedar Crest. I am confident I can provide the kind of coaching and student athlete development within our football program that will make the school and community proud to be Falcons.”
Lambros’ history with Cedar Crest goes back even further as a 1998 graduate and four-year varsity football player. During his senior season, Lambros was named team captain and earned First Team All-County and All League Linebacker honors.
Lambros attended college at Bloomsburg where he was recruited as a linebacker, playing one redshirt year. Lambros returned to the Cornwall-Lebanon School District in 2004 as coordinator of the on-campus alternative education program for Cedar Crest High School and middle schools.
Lambros has also coached the offensive line/linebackers, defensive ends/backs, and other position groups before that role. Lambros also acted as the special teams coordinator for one year.
Lambros also spent time as the Head Jr. High School Coach and has taught Social Studies at the high school for 17 years.
Lambros is replacing Robert Wildasin who resigned in January following 10 years at the helm of the Falcons.
