Paul J. Burcz, 77, Bay Head, NJ passed away peacefully with his family at his side on December 23, 2023. Paul, the middle child of Joseph and Anna Burcz, was born January 12, 1946 in Jersey City. He is survived by Roberta Anne Burcz, two doting sisters, Joann Kerdock and Carol Messina (and their husbands), his 4 children, Allison Lucci, Ryan Burcz, Chelsea Slayter and Kaitlyn DiLeo (and their spouses), and his 8 grandchildren.
Paul was drafted into the US Marine Corps. and served in Vietnam as a Tunnel Rat (1965 -1967). After the War he began working in commercial and residential construction, which became more than a vocation, but also his passion. Paul most enjoyed the creativity that he found in his work and collaborating with friends and family on creating their dream homes. Paul also spent time living on Water Island, USVI, and took trips back with family to enjoy island life. Always the life of the party, Paul frequently hosted summer backyard BBQs, birthdays, and holidays, welcoming everyone to his home. His warmth and generous spirit radiated through a room. Paul loved playing Jimmy Buffett loudly through the speakers, hanging out at the Manasquan Inlet, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
