Hackensack recently welcomed a new Italian restaurant to its dining scene. Replacing Picco Tavern, Forte serves a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and seafood in addition to pizza. The Hackensack location is Forte’s third eatery in the Garden State.

A new bakery has set up shop on Montclair’s Fullerton Avenue. Libélula, which is Spanish for “dragonfly,” is offering a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes with Dominican, Peruvian and French flair.

Frosty Cafe, which recently opened in Bergenfield, is serving up cakes, crepes, cupcakes, ice cream and plenty of other sweet treats. It replaces Zai’s Dessertery, which closed earlier this year.
