Barley Snyder has consolidated two of its offices in Berks County to operate in one expanded location. The consolidation is the result of the recent renovation of the law firm’s office at 2755 Century Boulevard in Spring Township — renovations that enlarged and enhanced the space.
Employees who worked out of Barley Snyder’s location at 50 N. Fifth St. in downtown Reading, have relocated to the Century Boulevard office. The move was completed Friday, Sept. 29 and the single location began full operation on Monday, the company said. A total of 29 attorneys, 15 paralegals and 16 additional staff members now occupy the expanded space.
The Spring location became part of the Barley Snyder footprint last year, when the firm of Leisawitz Heller joined Barley Snyder, according to a press release.
“It has always been a priority to serve our clients in the greater Reading market, and we are committed to making our teams feel connected as much as possible,” Jeff Lobach, managing partner of Barley Snyder, said in a statement. “We are confident that our combined team will work efficiently in this newly renovated location while providing the same high-quality service to our clients.”
In January 2022, Leisawitz Heller became affiliated with Barley Snyder — adding 14 attorneys, 10 paralegals and eight staff members to the firm. The affiliation represented the largest one-time combination for Barley Snyder since 1991 when firm leadership made the decision to pursue a regional model, the company said.
Former Leisawitz Heller managing partner and current Barley Snyder partner Chuck Phillips has supported the firm’s decision to consolidate the Reading office into the Century Boulevard location.
“I have been impressed by the firm’s ongoing commitment to optimize the efficiency of our services and capabilities,” Phillips said in a statement. “I look forward to having our team members in the region under one roof while continuing to serve our clients and communities throughout Berks County and beyond.”
According to Brian Ott, who joined Barley Snyder as a partner in 1999, the consolidation of offices is an exciting milestone.
“Working in one unified location will enhance our ability to provide exceptional legal services to our friends and clients in the Berks County community,” he said in a statement.
Barley Snyder has more than 130 attorneys practicing in 11 offices in Pennsylvania and Maryland. In addition to its Berks location, the firm has offices in Malvern, Lancaster and Schuylkill Haven.
