Mia Pace shot a 38 to lead the Downingtown East girls golf team to a 172-190 victory on Wednesday at the Kennett Square Country Club.
Julia Nawalany added a 40 for the Whippets (7-1), Lucia Giuliano carded a 43 and Sarah Chung had a 51.
The Longhorns (5-3) were led Sarina Patel and Reagan Wilson, who shot a 44 each. Fiona Avondollo recorded a 48 and Brooke Donnelly added a 54.
Girls Soccer
Avon Grove 7, Coatesville 0 >> Eden Veenema notched three goals and an assist as the Red Devils rolled to the Ches-Mont National victory. Sydney Correll added a goal and two assists, while Maggie Dunckel, Alexis Manfredi and Raleigh Molnar has single tallies apiece. Abbey MacDonald recorded a pair of assists and Gabby Morell collected the shutout.
Girls Tennis
Downingtown West 6, West Chester East 1 >> The Whippets dropped only one set in the matches they won in capturing the Ches-Mont National contest. Ramona Feierbend and Sanni Varanasi dropped just one set in their two singles victories. Lydia Thornton won, 6-2, 6-4 at third singles for the Vikings.

Golf
Unionville 177, Episcopal Academy 189 >> Michael Keller fired a 2-under-par 33 as the Longhorns (10-0) stayed unbeaten by posting the nonleague victory. Charlie Barrickman and Jax Pusar added 35s, Rex Opdahl had a 36 and Cole Donnelly carded a 38. Hunter Stetson recorded a 34 and Jack Crowley a 36 for Episcopal.
College
Field Hockey
Ramapo 2, Immaculata 0 >> The Immaculata field hockey team dropped its matchup with Ramapo College at Draper Walsh Stadium by a score of 2-0. Ramapo took a 1-0 lead in the second period, finding the back of the net in the 27th minute of action. The Roadrunners would head into the half with a 1-0 lead. The Immaculata offense would draw four corners in the contest, while adding five shots, with senior Lauren Vandenbraak putting three of those on goal. Junior Julia Levase made 10 saves on the evening.
