Steven Michael Cameron Rossics, age 28 of Brick Township, passed away on Saturday, August 19th 2023, at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank. Steven was born and raised in Brick Township. He was a 2013 graduate of Brick Memorial High School. Steven was a dedicated employee for 10 years at Utiliquest in Freehold, NJ. He was also a member of St. Dominic’s R.C. Church in Brick.
At a young age Steven developed a very competitive drive. Always competing in sports such as Brick American Little League baseball and BMAC basketball. His favorite teams are the Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Cubs, Phoenix Suns and The Toronto Maple Leafs. Everyone that has been blessed with his presence knows that his true passion is with the thoroughbred horse racing industry. He spent most of his down time as a phenomenal handicapper visiting Monmouth Park Racetrack and several other out of state tracks. In his recent years he has joined several dart leagues and corn hole competitions. He has become a corn hole champion living up to his childhood nickname ‘Champ’.
Surviving are his parents, Steve and Jill Rossics of Brick. His sister Lauren Rossics and his brother Jared Rossics both of Brick, his maternal Grandmother Lynda MacDonald of Wall Twp, his paternal Grandmother Lois Rossics of Wall Twp., and his paternal Grandfather Jerome Rossics of Beachwood. Godparents, Paul and Rachel Rossics and cousins Aaron and Anthony Rossics of Lake Como. Also surviving are his Uncle James Meistrell (Lanie), Aunt Veronica Bertone (Joseph) and cousins Jessica, Samantha, Amanda (Andrew), Joseph and Angelina all from Long Island, New York and Cousin Andrew of Waverly, NY.
Steven is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Richard Meistrell of East Stroudsburg, PA, and his Aunt Kathleen Meistrell of Long Island, NY.
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00am in St. Dominic’s R.C. Church 250 Old Squan Road Brick. A Gathering of friends and family will take place following mass on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. At Colonial Funeral Home 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick.
