Carol Gardner Corbally, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2023.
Carol was a lifelong Jersey Shore resident, attending Manasquan High School, who spent her career working with the local community as a bank manager. She loved to keep her toes in the sand and spend hours on the beach with friends, first watching her own children and later in life enjoying time with her beloved granddaughters. Carol had a zest for life, and her gift to gab to anyone about anything was the core of her real superpower of connecting with people. Her friends were many, and she cultivated and nurtured each friendship and created lifelong connections. Bridge Club always got the best of her baking (the brownies and pies were legendary), her travel escapades were endless, and she was always ready to go. She would jump in her convertible to enjoy a ride along the beach with the top down and the wind in her hair! Carol always loved a good party, but never needed a reason to glam it up and get her nails done or pull out the good rings.
Carol loved being a grandma, and her granddaughters lit up her world, as she did for them. She was the best grandma, willing to play Uno for hours, host endless tea parties and had the patience of a saint when it came time to measure flour as she taught them to make her incredible cookies. Carol loved her granddaughters, her cat Muffin, her children, and her family.
Carol is survived by her son Jim Krampert, his wife Brenda and granddaughters Bryce and Leah; her daughter Sharon Nickolaus, husband Jack and granddaughters Rebecca, Melissa, and Erica; her brother Walter Gardner and his wife Susan. Carol also leaves behind an incredible group of friendships spanning decades of love and support. Her friendship will be missed by so many.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 26th 10am at Holy Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, N. Main Street Manasquan followed by a celebration of her life with friends and family at The Breakers in Spring Lake. Jersey Shore Cremation, Hwy 71, Manasquan is entrusted with her arrangements.
