ST. MARYS, Pa. (WTAJ) – The Elk County Coroner was called to a house fire Saturday morning, according to the county run PulsePoint system.
Around 8:15 a.m., firefighters responded to the location along the 100 block of Jackson Road in St. Marys. While on scene, officials confirmed that someone was trapped inside the house. It took crews until 11 a.m. to get the fire under control.
According to family members who live at a neighboring house, two people died in the fire, but WTAJ has not yet confirmed this information with the coroner.
