LOWER MERION — Lower Merion officials are outlining several ways residents can get involved with the township’s sustainability efforts.
Pilot Community Compost Program. The Ardmore Library will host a pilot community compost program. Participants will collect their household’s food scraps and other organic waste and drop it off in a bin at the Library at their convenience. Mother Compost will be contracted to empty the bin once a week. Residents who are interested in participating in this pilot or being notified of future updates/expansions are encouraged to complete the interest form at www.lowermerion.org/compost.
Clean Energy Presentation. On March 28 at 7 p.m., one of the township’s Sustainability Ambassadors will be giving a presentation at the Township Administration Building about how to access federal incentives to transition to clean energy in your home.
