(NEWARK, NJ) — Pork roll, jaded teens, malls, convenience stores, profound conversations about comic books. Jersey legend Kevin Smith showed the world the secrets of life (whether it be in an actual mall, a convenience store, or Red Bank) in his classic films that put the Garden State firmly on the map as a mecca for indie filmmakers. Now get ready to hear from the man himself when he takes center stage again, this time in person, with “Jersey Sure” on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) as part of the North to Shore festival. Showtime is 3:00pm.
A writer, comedian, podcaster, and film director, Kevin Smith has written and directed numerous films. From Clerks to Mallrats to Dogma and beyond, Smith has made a career out of turning the ordinary aspects of everyday life into something hilarious and worth celebrating. He has used his home state as the perfect backdrop to create his now-cult classic films.
Get ready to hear from the man himself as he takes center stage in person for “Jersey Sure.” It seems Silent Bob actually has a lot to say. And we can’t wait to hear it!
Tickets are available for purchase online starting Friday, March 22 at 10:00am. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722) or by visiting the NJPAC Box Office at 1 Center Street in Newark, New Jersey. This event takes place in the Victoria Theater.
In addition to his films, Kevin is the creator of AMC’s Comic Book Men and has authored Silent Bob Speaks, Shootin’ the Sh*t with Kevin Smith, My Boring-Ass Life and most recently Tough Sh*t: Life Advice from a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good. He can be heard daily at smodcast.com, a vast network of podcasts.
