SIDMAN, Pa. (WTAJ) – Online threats made against students, staff and the school itself has prompted an FBI investigation in the Forest Hills School District, according to school officials.
The district’s superintendent’s office released a statement Sunday morning informing the public that it has determined recent threats towards the school posted on social media are “beyond the scope of school jurisdiction and implicate potential criminal activity.”
Forest Hills has turned over the matter to appropriate law enforcement authorities for investigation and prosecution.
The Forest Hills School District is deeply troubled by recent social media posts being directed toward students, staff, and the school district within our community. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our students and take any allegations of misconduct seriously.

All of the evidence is being directed to an FBI Special Agent assisting in the investigation, according to the district.
