DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — There was a heavy police presence in the area of Hersheypark Drive in Derry Township, on Thursday morning as crews responded to a suspicious item found nearby.
Derry Township Police and Pennsylvania State Police responded at around 11 a.m. and the scene was cleared at 2:25 p.m. No one was injured.
Police have not yet released what the suspicious item was, but the PSP bomb squad was on scene.
Hersheypark Drive was temporarily closed. The road has since reopened.
