(WTAJ) — In 1997, the World Health Organization declared obesity a worldwide epidemic. In 2024, Pennsylvania has four cities in the top 100 most obese in America, according to Wallethub.
America has the highest obesity rate in the world. In fact, according to the CDC, 41.9% of American adults are overweight. While Pennsylvania has four cities in the top 100 of obesity, they all fall mostly in the lower half of that number.
