(SPRING LAKE, NJ) — South Street Players presents the 13th Annual Tri-State Theatre Festival March 15-17, 2024 at Wesley Hall in Spring Lake. SSP will showcase the best new short plays written by local writers from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The festival typically receives about 300 entries annually and features a unique collection of short comedies and dramas designed to entertain and engage audiences. You won’t want to miss this exciting night of cool, new, original theatre!
This year’s festival includes productions of “The Now” by Alex Dremann, directed by Dave McGrath; “Unheard” by Glenn Alterman, directed by Gina Shuster; “Shooting Miss Brenner” by Dorothea Cahan, directed by Bill King; “First Bite” by Larry Brenner, directed by Karen Anderson; “The Exit Interview” by Nina Kissinger, directed by Robert Scott Sullivan; “Baggage” by Robert Scott Sullivan, directed by James Walsh; and “Then You Suffer” by Keith Whalen, directed by Gina Shuster.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and children under 12. Tickets are available for purchase online. Performances take place Friday, March 15 at 8:00pm; Saturday, March 16 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, March 17 at 2:00pm. Wesley Hall is located at 4th and Mercer Streets in Spring Lake, New Jersey.
These events serve as a fundraiser, with proceeds helping them maintain their commitment to producing high-quality, engaging theatrical experiences this season & beyond.
