CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Victim Services, Inc. in Cambria County needs help to replenish storage totes for its safe house.
The non-profit organization helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The totes will be used to store clothing and other necessities that are distributed to the people at the shelter.
“Just because you feel that somebody else is going to donate, we can’t assume somebody else’s actions. These donations and the events that we’re holding are going to give back to the survivors that we provide services to throughout Cambria County and Somerset County. So, when in doubt donate,” said Jessica Piro, the Safe Housing Coordinator at Victim Services.
The organization currently has a verified tote drive through Walmart that will deliver them directly to the agency once purchased.

The goal is to have 80 storage totes and Victim Services, Inc. currently needs an additional 45 to meet that goal. In addition to the totes, the organization is always accepting donations of brand-new socks and underwear for all ages and genders, as well as toiletry items.
