Turning chilly and breezy to start the weekend…
EVENING: Increasing clouds, temps near 40.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, not as cold. Low 30.
THURSDAY: Cloudy, showers develop for the afternoon. High 45.
The last 3 days provided plenty of blue skies and highs in the mid 40s. We are now starting to see clouds increasing this evening which will prevent our temperatures from sinking quickly into the 20s.
A round of light rain showers arrives Thursday afternoon and continues into Friday morning. The steadiest rain looks to fall early Friday morning. Rain amounts expected to range between 0.25″ to 0.5″. With enough clearing Friday afternoon, we should manage to reach 50 degrees before northwesterly winds increase to push colder air into the Midstate. Saturday’s highs will only be in the 30s! Sunday will be warmer and next week looks like Spring could be here to stay. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s to wrap up the month of February with occasional rain showers. It does look wetter next week with several rounds of showers between Tuesday through Thursday. The significant warm-up next week could help to rank this month as one of the warmest Februarys on record and warmest meteorological winters (Dec-Jan) on record.
