WEST HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – The skull recovered in West Hanover Township back in 2020 has been identified as woman missing since 2007.
Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo and the Dauphin County Coroner’s office confirmed that the skull is that of 47-year-old Heike Leich.
The skull was found north of the 7800 block of Fishing Creek Valley Road by hikers on February 12, 2020. At the time State Police said no other remains were found in the area.
Police at the time said the circumstances of her disappearance were suspicious, however there is no cause of death known at this time.
