It’s week four of the New Year New Room Refresh Challenge, which means it’s crunch time as the challenge ends next week! Thank goodness I’m finished with the board and batten molding, but now I need to decide on a paint color.
I had originally planned on going dark and moody in this bathroom vanity space. See my inspiration here.
But now that I have the molding up…..
…I’m not so sure I want to paint it dark.
Excuse my terrible Instagram Stories mockups, but you get where I’m going, right? What are your thoughts? Should I paint the molding dark brown, as I had originally planned? I think if I do, I should paint the door too, right? Leaving it white feels a little disjointed.
Or should I paint the walls brown and leave the molding white?
Here’s a pulled back view from my son’s bedroom. Does that change or impact your opinion?
Honestly, the beauty of a design challenge like this is that it forces me to make a gut decision rather than waffling back and forth forever (like I usually do 😉 ). I *think* I know what I’m going to do, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts!
