Attorney Nadine Yavru-Sakuk has joined Schenck, Price, Smith & King as counsel, according to a Wednesday announcement from the Florham Park-based firm.
Yavru-Sakuk is the firm’s newest addition to its growing Corporate Law Practice.
“Nadine’s experience in both corporate law and litigation will truly prove valuable to our clients,” Gary Werner, managing partner, said. “Her knowledge and versatility will be a great asset to our team.”
Prior to joining Schenck Price, Yavru-Sakuk served as outside general counsel to businesses in matters involving contracts, including distributor and licensing agreements, Software-as-a-Service and vendor agreements; corporate governance; privacy issues; employment; intellectual property; commercial real estate leases and sales; and merger & acquisition transactions including asset purchase deals, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, and restrictive covenants, among other issues.
Earlier in her career, Yavru-Sakuk exclusively handled all aspects of litigation matters, including client management, case strategy, court appearances, motion practice, depositions, witness questioning and inquests, and negotiated settlements. Additionally, she has experience working as an attorney for the Institute of International Commercial Law where she supported the development of a database for the United Nations Convention for Contracts on International Sales of Goods.
Prior to attending law school, Yavru-Sakuk was an analyst at a major investment bank in New York. She is fluent in Armenian and proficient in French.
