Midstate 9-year-old honored for saving her father’s life

(WHTM) – Friday’s hometown hero is a Midstate girl honored for saving her father’s life.

“UPMC Lititz” recognized 9-year-old Aubrie Lawson for calling 9-1-1 when her dad went into respiratory arrest in December.

Aubrie was able to describe to the dispatcher what was happening to her dad.

When first responders arrived, she led them to her father and put away the family dog so it wouldn’t interfere.

Thanks to her efforts, Aubrie’s father recovered and he was back home in time for Christmas.
