BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A former employee of Champion Home Builders allegedly broke into their building to take supplies for a plumbing job he had coming up, state police said.
Samuel Adam Mickey Jr., 23, was arrested in the early morning of Jan. 28 when police were called to Champion Home Builders in Claysburg just before 3:30 a.m.
According to the criminal complaint, a person later identified as Mickey had broken into the building. The owner met with troopers at the business and was accessing live security footage on his cell phone. Troopers searched the area and eventually spotted Mickey running into a porta-potty to hide.
Troopers said Mickey came out and tried to escape between them before being taken into custody and identified. According to the complaint, troopers found a black bag full of copper wire and plumbing parts along with a phone and tablet belonging to Mickey.
Troopers said that Mickey admitted to working for the company in the past and had broken in to get supplies for a plumbing job he had.
Mickey was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft, resisting arrest and other lesser charges.

Mickey was placed in Blair County Prison with bail set at $40,000 with a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 8.
