Dry weather and warmer than average temperatures will dominate through the start of February…
TODAY: Overcast. Hi 43.
TONIGHT: Mostly Cloudy. Lo 34.
THURSDAY: Partly Cloudy, Milder. Hi 50. Winds: W 5-15 mph.
A weak clipper just missed Pennsylvania last night and instead dove southward toward the Virginias and Carolinas. Clouds from this system will be overhead today with highs in the lower 40s. In other words, today will be similar to Monday and Tuesday this week. No precipitation is expected. Tonight will bring mostly cloudy skies with lows in the lower to mid-30s.
Tomorrow may bring some peeks of sun by the afternoon and it will also be the mildest day this week with highs reaching right around 50°. Thursday night into Friday will bring another weak system crossing through with little more than a few extra clouds and a passing shower. Friday is Groundhog Day and Phil should have a mostly cloudy and mild one to deliver his “forecast”. The weekend also looks good at this point — mostly sunny with highs in the mid-40s. February will begin fairly nice and quiet. If we start to see any signs of winter in the extended forecast, we’ll keep you posted. For now, January will end and February will begin with quiet and mild weather and very few signs that this season is actually winter. Stay tuned!
