Woman Killed After Multiple Shots Fired at Home in Mantua

A woman is dead after an unknown suspect opened fire on a home in Mantua on early Tuesday morning.

Police say they responded to a 911 call at 1:30 a.m. for gunshots near 3900 Melon Street.

When police arrived they found a woman in her mid-30s dead on the floor inside the home with a bullet wound on her head.

Multiple bullet holes were found on the window and it appears like the shooter was intentionally firing at the house.

Eight shell casings were recovered from outside the house.

At this point, police are unsure if she was the intended target but they are reviewing surveillance footage in the area to figure out what went down.
