(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) — The Middletown Arts Center presents Tracey Ann Finley Art: Abstracts vs. Outsiders Exhibition, The Battle Between the Undefined and the Unconventional, from February 3-29, 2024. Tracey is a self-taught “outsider” artist who, in 2004, began offering her work for sale online via Ebay and Etsy. To date, she has sold over 4,500 original works. Her colorful paintings hang in spaces across the USA, Canada, Spain, Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Mexico, Israel, Ireland and other countries around the world.
“I feel truly blessed to be able to create my funky and colorful paintings full time. I love what I do. Many times I get asked the question about my particular painting style. I have found over the years that inside my brain, there is a battle. One part of me loves the child-like, outsider painting style, where the other part of me is drawn to an abstract style of motion. Both painting approaches fill my heart with joy. My collectors, too, are fans of the two styles, with many of them owning several of both design forms,” said Tracey Ann Finley.
Tracey Ann Finley was born in Brooklyn, NY, followed by a family move to Middletown, NJ in 1972. She currently lives in the beautiful town of Leonardo, NJ, with her husband, daughter and Cairn Terrier.
