JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) – The Altoona Brass Collective performed their show entitled “Echoes of Brass” at the Grand Halle in Johnstown on Sunday afternoon.
The repertoire included a wide range of musical genres and arrangements of classical piece and renditions of popular hymns. The ensemble was led by Scott Pappal, a horn player and one the ensembles founding members.
This was the first time the group performed to the Halle since their debut in 2019.
“We love it. We’re just so happy to have this building saved, number one. And then have it open to the public, and then have performances like the Altoona Brass Collective come here and just enjoy the acoustic,” Kim Rauch, Chairman of the Board for The Steeples Project, said. “It feels like you’re in Europe somewhere because of this beautiful space.”
