Robert O. Borden, Jr., 79, of Brick passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with his family by his side. Robert was born in Point Pleasant and raised in Wall Township, where he was a graduate of Wall High School. He received his associate degree in computer science from Brookdale Community College. Robert was a computer analyst for over 40 years, working mostly for the Asbury Park Press. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Robert worked at Wall Stadium as a fireman in the infield of the racetrack. He and his wife Sun enjoyed traveling “off the beaten path.”
Robert was predeceased by his parents Robert and Betty Jean Borden. He is survived by his beloved wife Sun (née Lee) Borden of Brick, and his loving daughter Amy Fedroff and her husband David of Virginia Beach, VA. He was the cherished grandfather to Emily, Abigail, and Isabel. Robert also leaves behind a sister Betty Curry of Florida.
