CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Clearfield County woman was sentenced for the role she played in a multi-county methamphetamine drug bust.
Brittany Luzier, 30, was sentenced to over 7 years (87 months) in prison and 4 years of supervised release for the conviction of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine, according to United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan. Senior United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Thursday, Jan. 18.
According to information presented to the court, from July 2019 to June 2020, Luzier conspired to distribute five grams or more of actual methamphetamine. Using a federal wiretap, authorities heard Luzier obtaining obtaining quantities of methamphetamine that she distributed to others.
She was one of 38 people who were arrested after an 18-month-long investigation in 2020. According to the U.S. Attorney, multiple kilos of meth were trafficked from Atlanta into Central Pennsylvania.
Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
United States Attorney Olshan commended the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation that led to the successful prosecution of Luzier.
