Ayr Wellness, Blaze Responsibly partner for expungement clinic in Newark

Ayr Wellness and Blaze Responsibly are partnering again in hosting a free community expungement clinic, this time with the Newark Art Museum. The clinic will run from noon to 3 p.m. Monday at 49 Washington St. to expunge the records of individuals with past cannabis convictions.

This clinic is part of Ayr’s concerted effort to combat the effects of the failed War on Drugs through its ongoing Changing Legacies initiative.

Participants will be able to meet with volunteer attorneys to obtain a free expungement for past cannabis convictions and can access additional services such as ID support, veterans’ resources, housing assistance and job placement opportunities. The event is part of the Broader Newark Art Museum’s Community Day, and attendees are welcome to explore additional hands-on activities, goods and information.
