(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) — Harvard’s favorite blonde will be center stage in the fun, upbeat production of Legally Blonde The Musical JR., presented by Tomato Patch Workshops at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre, January 12-14, 2024. Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, this is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show’s instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass — leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink!
Legally Blonde The Musical JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate Emmett and spunky hairdresser Paulette along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.
Legally Blonde The Musical JR. will be presented January 12-14, with the Friday show starting at 7:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday shows at 1:00pm & 4:00pm. Performances will be at the Kelsey Theatre on the MCCC West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for children and students, and may be purchased online at www.kelseytheatre.org or by calling the Kelsey Box Office Monday through Thursday, 9:00am – noon, at (609) 570-3333.
