This New York-based, fast-casual Lebanese chain has opened a second New Jersey location, after making its Jersey debut in Paramus earlier this year. The menu includes rolls, bowls and salads—all customizable with grains, greens, meat and plant-based proteins, veggies, and dips like hummus, lemon tahini and Toum garlic whip. Keep an eye out for a Jersey City location coming soon.

Wonder, Springfield
Just two weeks after setting up shop in Hoboken, Wonder celebrated the grand opening of its Springfield location. Customers can order “fast fine dining” from 20 diverse restaurants all in one online transaction. Two more NJ locations are slated to open before the end of the year.

Founded by two sisters and one sister-in-law, this waffle shop combines sweet treats like waffle pops, bites and pies with savory bites like chicken and waffles (and fries), sandwiches and breakfast plates. The shop, located on Rowan University’s campus, opens at 9 am daily and closes at midnight Sunday through Wednesday. It’s open until 2 am Thursday through Saturday.

This small-batch baking company has shut its doors after nearly three years in business. E. Holland Sundries started out selling goods like pretzels and pastries at farmers’ markets and a local grocer before operating its own storefront. In late October, founder Shannon Phillips announced in an Instagram post that the shop would be closing after Thanksgiving. “It’s been a two person baking operation for almost a year and half now and we came to a crossroads,” she wrote. “[…] We made the decision to close so that we can both have a quality of life that we are not necessarily used to.”
