George Street Playhouse presents “Having Our Say”. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — George Street Playhouse presents Having Our Say, the Tony Award-nominated play by Emily Mann (A Streetcar Named Desire, Anna and the Tropics). Having Our Say is adapted from the book by Sarah (Sadie) L. Delany & A. Elizabeth (Bessie) Delany with Amy Hill Hearth and is directed by Laiona Michelle (Her Portmanteau). Thursday, November 30 – State Theatre New Jersey presents Pam Tillis & Phil Vassar: Holidays and Hits. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — State Theatre New Jersey presents Pam Tillis & Phil Vassar: Holidays and Hits on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 8:00pm. The country singer-songwriters will perform holiday hits and their hit songs. Tickets range from $29-$99.
Avenel Performing Arts Center presents “ChrisMYSTERY: Suspicion at the Elf-Help Center”. (AVENEL, NJ) — Avenel Performing Arts Center presents ChrisMYSTERY: Suspicion at the Elf-Help Center from November 30 through December 2, 2023. In this production, Mrs. Claus has opened the annual Elf-Help Meeting at Santa’s Workshop, surrounded by some of the finest elves: Pixie (President of the Elf Appreciation Society); Ramon, (a bossy head elf); and Moshe (dedicated to putting a little Manischewitz in the Christmas punch).
Friday, December 1 – Outpost in the Burbs Presents Ted Leo with opener Elk City. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) — Outpost in the Burbs presents Ted Leo on Friday, December 1st at 8:00pm. The concert will take place at the First Congregational church, 40 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair. Opening the show will be the band Elk City.
Friday, December 1 – State Theatre New Jersey presents A Magical Cirque Christmas. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — State Theatre New Jersey presents A Magical Cirque Christmas – A Holiday Variety Show on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 7:30pm. This is the ultimate holiday experience—a variety show loaded with nostalgia, charm, comedy, music, and magic. The cast of world-class acrobats, contortionists, and aerialists will push the boundaries and defy gravity. The show also features a captivating holiday musical score.
The Growing Stage presents “Ella Enchanted”. (NETCONG, NJ) — The Growing Stage: The Children’s Theatre of New Jersey will present a holiday production of Ella Enchanted from December 1-17, 2023 on Saturdays and Sundays with a special opening night performance on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 7:30pm. Written by Karen Zacarias with music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, Ella Enchanted is adapted from the book by Gail Carson Levine and introduces us to Ella of Frell, who is given the “gift” of obedience by Lucinda, her misguided Fairy Godmother.
Berlind Theatre presents The Princeton Dance Festival. (PRINCETON, NJ) — McCarter’s Berlind Theatre presents the Princeton Dance Festival from December 1-3, 2023. The festival features new and repertory works by nationally and internationally recognized choreographers, performed by more than 50 Princeton dance students.
Algonquin Arts Theatre presents “ELF: The Musical”. (MANASQUAN, NJ) — Algonquin Arts Theatre presents its holiday show, Elf: The Musical from December 2 through December 17, 2023. Based on the 2003 film, Elf: The Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner Elf.
Saturday, December 2 – State Theatre New Jersey presents Peppa Pig’s Sing-Along Party. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — State Theatre New Jersey presents Peppa Pig’s Sing-Along Party on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00pm & 5:00pm. Peppa, George, Mummy Pig, and Daddy Pig will be singing along to some of their favorite songs, and they invite children and families alike to join in the fun. Dance, clap, and sing with Peppa and her family along with Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep, and Gerald Giraffe. Saturday, December 2 – Holidays with The Flip Side at Vivid Stage. (SUMMIT, NJ) — Kick off the holiday season with Vivid Stage, at their annual Holidays with the Flip Side show. Traditional holiday stories and characters are turned on their heads by Vivid’s house improv team, The Flip Side, on December 2, 2023 at 8:00pm at the Oakes Center in Summit.
Moorestown Theater Company spreads holiday cheer with “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr.”. As December approaches, theaters across the country scramble to get their holiday programming together and ready for audiences. From classics like “The Nutcracker” and “A Christmas Carol,” to orchestral and choral performances, there’s an event out there for anyone looking to spread some holiday cheer. This holiday season, the Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) in Burlington County will present “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr.” and the acclaimed youth theater organization will do it all with a cast of elementary and middle school students — as well as a few ninth graders.
Saturday, December 2 – Kevin Hart to Perform Brand New Material at bergenPAC. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) — Comedy superstar Kevin Hart is coming to Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) for a special one-night appearance to perform brand new material on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 8:00pm. The Emmy & Grammy nominated comedian was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he launched his career as a comedian during an amateur night at a local comedy club. Hart released his eighth stand-up special, Reality Check, earlier this year.

Thursday, November 30 – Doja Cat to Perform at Prudential Center. (NEWARK, NJ) — GRAMMY award-winning global superstar Doja Cat will embark on her first North American Arena tour this fall, “The Scarlet Tour.” The 24-date tour, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on October 31st in San Francisco, CA, hitting major markets in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping on December 13th in Chicago, IL. The tour comes to the Prudential Center in Newark on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Special guests Ice Spice will be at the Newark show and select dates of the tour. Doechii will join “The Scarlet Tour” across select dates as well. Showtime is 7:30pm.
New Jersey Symphony Presents Violinist Joshua Bell in Concert. (NEWARK, NJ) — Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell joins the New Jersey Symphony in concert in a program featuring Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4. Performances take place Thursday, November 30 at 1:30pm and Friday, December 1 at 8:00pm at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark and Sunday, December 3 at 3:00pm at Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.
Thursday, November 30 – Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Vonda Shepard. (PITMAN, NJ) — The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Vonda Shepard on Thursday, November 20, 2023 at 8:00pm. Vonda is currently touring with her stellar quartet with the release of her amazing new album, Red Light, Green Light. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Legends KISS Announce Final Shows Ever. (NEW YORK, NY) — Rock n roll legends KISS have announced the absolute final shows of their final tour, The End of The Road Tour. Produced by Live Nation, these final show dates will kick off this October and culminate in a massive show in the city where it all began for KISS. New York City has been a part of the band’s ethos and storyline for more than four decades, so they felt it fitting to culminate an iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame worthy career on stage at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden with shows December 1st and 2nd.
Friday, December 1 – The Newton Theatre presents Christmas with the Celts. (NEWTON, NJ) — The Newton Theatre presents Christmas with the Celts on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 8:00pm. Celebrating 12 years of successful national touring, this show is a wonderful combination of timeless ancient Irish Christmas Carols and lively Irish dance with modern contemporary songs but with Irish instrumentation. New Christmas hits, Celts originals and fresh Irish Dance tunes are added to the show each year so that no 2 years are the same. Always a pleasant surprise.
Saturday, December 2 – NJPAC presents Colombian singer-songwriter Fonseca. (NEWARK, NJ) — New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) welcomes Fonseca, the Colombian singer-songwriter and winner of 7 Latin GRAMMY® awards will perform on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 8:00pm. Recognized as one of the most significant Latin artists of the past decade, Fonseca unveils his ninth studio album, “Viajante,” during this tour, simultaneously celebrating 20 years of his artistic journey.
Theater League of Clifton to Stage Productions of Christmas Music. (CLIFTON, NJ) — The Theater League of Clifton will stage productions of Christmas carols and traditional holiday music at two venues: on Saturday, December 2, 7:30pm at Grace Church (45 Hazel Street) and Sunday, December 3, 4:00pm at Living Hope Presbyterian Church (303 Maplewood Avenue). Both churches are located in Clifton.
Saturday, December 2 – Symphony in C to present Holiday Classics at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts. (CAMDEN, NJ) — New Jersey-based young professionals orchestra Symphony in C presents a festive holiday program titled Holiday Classics on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 8:00pm at the Gordon Theater at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in Camden. Saturday, December 2 – Ocean County Library Jackson Branch to Present Holiday Guitar Concert by Keith Calmes. (JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) — Welcome the winter holiday season with a collection of seasonal songs by Jersey Shore guitarist Keith Calmes on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch. Keith’s accomplishments in a career that spans three decades include his Carnegie Recital Hall debut as winner of the Artists International Competition, concerts with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, and a performance with Maestro Carlos Barbosa-Lima. The concert begins at 2:00pm.

Sunday, December 3 – New Jersey Youth Chorus Presents Readings and Carols. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) — Light up this holiday season with a stunning performance by the New Jersey Youth Chorus and special guest handbell choir, the Walsh Memorial Bell Choir from the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains. As part of the 2023-24 season’s vision to engage alumni by building a passionate, caring, and broad community of chorus members, the concert features NJYC Alumna Emmalee LaFean. Readings and Carols: Season of Light will take place on Sunday, December 3 at 4:30pm at the Morristown United Methodist Church located at 50 South Park Place in Morristown.
Sunday, December 3 – Hackensack Performing Arts Center presents Kings Return. Sunday, December 3 – Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra to Present Holiday Concert. (PLAINSBORO, NJ) — The award-winning Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra presents its Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at The Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro. Lantern Theater Company presents “Crumbs from the Table of Joy”. (PHILADELPHIA, PA) — Lantern Theater Company continues its 30th anniversary season with two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage’s dramatic gem, Crumbs from the Table of Joy. Director Bianca LaVerne Jones makes her Lantern Theater Company debut, leading a cast of Philadelphia theater artists that includes Monet Debose, Walter DeShields, Morgan Charéce Hall, Hillary Parker, and Brett Ashley Robinson. The production runs Thursday, November 9 through Sunday, December 10, 2023, at St. Stephen’s Theater, the Lantern’s resident venue.

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) — This holiday season, Centenary Stage Company presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid from November 24 – December 10, 2023 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages.
Lewis Center for the Arts presents When Pages Breathe, a series of events highlighting oral interpretation of literary works. (PRINCETON, NJ) — The Lewis Center for the Arts’ Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents When Pages Breathe, a series of three events that highlight the oral interpretation of literary works. The series is conceived in collaboration with the Princeton University Library’s current exhibition, In the Company of Good Books: Shakespeare to Morrison, and Lecturer in Theater Chesney Snow’s fall course, “The Oral Interpretation of Toni and William.”
Mile Square Theatre presents “The Christmas Tree Farm”. Vanguard Theater will be transformed into Emerson’s, a seedy bar in South Philadelphia. Haddonfield Plays & Players presents “An American in Paris”. (HADDONFIELD, NJ) — Haddonfield Plays & Players presents An American in Paris, a Tony-winning Broadway musical, from December 1-16, 2023. This is the romantic, dance-filled story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl, and an indomitable European city… all set to the immortal score from George and Ira Gershwin. The production stars Monica Matteo in the role of Lise Bouvier, whose previous work at the theater includes Urinetown and Cabaret.
Hackensack Performing Arts Center presents “The Christmas Caper”. (HACKENSACK, NJ) — Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) presents The Christmas Caper from December 1-3 and December 8-9, 2023. Written and composed by MaryAnn DiMaria and Nick Picciallo, The Christmas Caper is a two-act ninety-minute seasonal fantasy saga of Santa’s stolen sleigh.
Art House Productions to present reading of “Dearest Pawel” by Christian Mendonça. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) — Art House Productions presents a new play reading of Dearest Pawel written by Christian Mendonça on Friday, December 1, 2023. New Jersey playwright Christian Mendonça has been developing this play with dramaturg Emily Dzioba and Art House Productions for the past year. The play reading will feature professional actors and will be directed by Dev Bondarin. The reading is scheduled for 7:00pm.
Ritz Theatre Company presents World Premiere of “Hollystalk”. (HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) — This Christmas, The Ritz Theatre Company presents the world premiere production of its second-ever original holiday panto, Hollystalk (Or, How a Giant of a Mistake Became the Best Christmas Surprise!), a fast-paced and fun-filled musical romp inspired by Great Britain’s beloved theatrical tradition of holiday pantomime. The show runs at The Ritz from December 1-17, 2023.
First Avenue Playhouse presents “A Christmas Chaos”. (ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) — First Avenue Playhouse presents A Christmas Chaos by Michael Wehrli in December. When the Royal Shakespeare Company doesn’t show up to perform their stirring rendition of a Christmas Carol it’s up to this intrepid band of hapless actors and technicians to put together their own production in less than seven hours.
Bergen County Players presents “A Christmas Carol, The Musical”. (ORADELL, NJ) — Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America’s longest-running little theater companies, will ring in the holiday season with Broadway heavy-hitters Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens’s musical adaptation of the timeless Charles Dickens tale A Christmas Carol. Hailed as “soaring, delightful musical theatre with a treasure house of beautiful, evocative music” (Talkin’ Broadway), A Christmas Carol, The Musical tells the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge through a lavish and thrilling score. Music is by Alan Menken, lyrics is by Lynn Ahrens, and book is by Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent. Musical direction is by Steve Bell, with choreography by Elisabeth Julia. Direction is by Larry Landsman, director of BCP’s last season hit Ragtime, The Musical. Performances run weekends from December 2-17, 2023.
Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center presents “Love Letters” as Fundraiser for duCret Center of Art. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) — Five years ago, Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center, a nonprofit community theater, moved to Plainfield and found a home at duCret Center of Art. Dragonfly was founded in 2014 and had had many homes up to that point, but none were permanent. Since moving to duCret, Dragonfly has presented 21 productions and is now the theater in residence.
Hunterdon Choral Alliance presents “The Holiday Musicle That Goes Wrong”. Thursday, November 30 – Comedian Kyle Gordon to Perform in Brooklyn. (RUTHERFORD, NJ) — New York-based comedian, actor, writer, and improviser Kyle Gordon has been performing new music on tour from his upcoming album, Kyle Gordon Is Great due March 1, 2024, via BMG. The 15-track collection is a musical genre of parodies featuring different characters that Gordon created. The tour has a full-band hometown show at Bell House in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 7:00pm.

Fall Choreography Project Highlights Talents of Stockton Dance Community. (GALLOWAY, NJ) — The Fall Choreography Project continues to be an enduring tradition at Stockton University.
