Chelsea Senior Living, a leader in senior care, lifestyle and housing, recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Chelsea at Fair Lawn Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Located in Fair Lawn, this is the borough’s first residence for seniors in need of assisted living or memory care services.
At the ceremony, the community was presented with a Senate and General Assembly citation from Assemblywoman Lisa Swain (D-Paramus) and a certificate from Fair Lawn Mayor Kurt Peluso.
“This celebration was long-anticipated and we are very happy to see so many people show their support,” Roger Bernier, president and chief operating officer of Chelsea, said. “We’ve had residents living at this community for the past couple months and we’re looking forward to welcoming more in the days and weeks to come.”
Trammell Crow Co., a global real estate developer, developed the property, and IMC Construction served as the general contractor.
The Chelsea at Fair Lawn will provide first-class amenities for assisted living and memory care residents included with rent, such as three restaurant-style meals per day, weekly housekeeping and laundry services, concierge services, expert clinical care, 24/7 professional services, on-site therapy services from Fox Rehab, vibrant activities programming, on-site maintenance services, a movie theater, social lounges, a fitness center, themed parties and group trips. There are 67 apartments in assisted living and memory care.
The three-story community is located directly across from Chelsea’s Independent Living community, which opened in March of this year. Like the Chelsea Senior Living facility, the Independent Living community offers residents a safe, secure and supportive environment with separate amenities that include activities programming, themed parties, a fitness center, weekly fine-dining events and covered parking. There are 26 apartments in Independent Living.
Located at 15-00 River Road in Fair Lawn, Chelsea Senior Living has staff on-site to host tours.
