The Hudson County Community College Foundation on Monday announced plans for its 26th annual HCCC Foundation Holiday Gala that will take place Dec. 7 at the HCCC Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk St., Jersey City.
HCCC is inviting the community to enjoy an evening of cuisine, fundraising and a celebration of those who support life-changing opportunities for students.
Guests will enjoy food prepared by professional chef-instructors and students of the nationally acclaimed HCCC Culinary Arts Institute; meet HCCC students, faculty and staff; learn about the college’s schools and programs; and applaud the recipient of this year’s HCCC Distinguished Community Service Award, Andrew Campbell, president of Eastern Millwork Inc.
“Every year, the HCCC Foundation recognizes the people and partners who support our students and help advance our innovative programs,” HCCC President Christopher Reber said. “Thanks to the generosity of foundation benefactors, our students have transformative opportunities that help them attain degrees or certificates, pursue in-demand and well-paying careers and fuel our regional economy.”
Campbell and EMI work with the college as a valuable partner of the HCCC School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. One of the nation’s top manufacturers of custom architectural woodwork, EMI prides itself on using technological innovation to create high-end designs without sacrificing Old World craftsmanship.
Through the EMI Holz Technik Dual Education Program that Campbell founded, qualified high school students are hired as apprentices who split their time between studies and work and receive a full benefits package and annual raises. Upon program completion, the apprentices earn their Associate in Applied Science in advanced manufacturing from HCCC, and Bachelor of Science in technical studies from Thomas Edison State University with no college debt.
Those who wish to donate as sponsors to the HCCC Foundation 2023 Gala may choose from the following options: $500 Individual Dinner Ticket; $4,000 Scholarship Sponsorship with a table for four; $6,000 Community Sponsorship with a table for eight and a virtual ad; $10,000 Ambassador of the Arts Sponsorship with a table for eight and a private guided tour of the Foundation Art Collection; and $20,000 Jade Anniversary Sponsorship with a table for eight, advertisement with company logo in the HCCC ad journal, and two on-stage tickets for the HCCC 2024 Commencement Ceremony.
There will also be a Lucky Odds Raffle with tickets at $50 each. Grand prize is 40% of the ticket sales; second prize is 6%; third prize is 4%.
Proceeds from the event support scholarships, books and more for deserving students, as well as funding for the Foundation Art Program. More information on sponsorships and advertising opportunities, and the Lucky Odds Raffle can be obtained by clicking here.
