Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, the chief of staff to Gov. Phil Murphy and commissioner of the Department of Transportation, heads the list of honorees at annual gala of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey.
The event, a celebration of exceptional individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions to the Hispanic community in the state, will be held Dec. 7 at the Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains.
The honorees:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Gutierrez-Scaccetti;
- Business of the Year Award: Gladys Vonglahn of Gladys’ Cleaning Service;
- Business of the Year Award: Hilda Mera of S&A Auto Repair;
- Latina Trailblazer of the Year Award: Mandy Gonzalez, Broadway actress/singer.
SHCCNJ CEO Carlos Medina said the gala is an eagerly anticipated occasion for the chamber, as it brings together like-minded individuals who are committed to supporting and promoting Hispanic businesses in the state.
The Legacy Castle, with its sophisticated decor and breathtaking ambiance, provides an ideal setting for this year’s event.
