I like to keep the decor on the screened porch Christmas tree pretty simple, and I love incorporating natural and nature-inspired elements. Drawing inspiration from the vegetation around us here in the Lowcountry, in years past, I’ve used monstera leaves, pine cone ornaments, and faux magnolias, and this year I’ve opted for mostly all-natural decor.
I’m really loving this simple mix of dried orange slices and hydrangeas paired with the wine cork garland I made a few years ago.
This was my first time drying orange slices to use in my holiday decor, and I love how classic and nostalgic they feel. They’re giving Little Women, and I’m not mad about it. ?
My dried hydrangeas transitioned so easily from fall decor to Christmas. I considered spray painting them gold, but I opted instead to leave them natural. And I just love this super simple mix of colors and textures!
This time of year, I always look forward to bundling up, turning on the fire, and sipping hot cocoa while watching a Christmas movie out here. So having a tree on our screen porch feels right.
