Inserra Supermarkets will host a ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration at the ShopRite of Elmwood Park on Friday.
The store, located at 180 Broadway, will be the 23rd ShopRite for the fourth-generation company that was founded in 1954. (It also runs two Price Rite Marketplace stores.)
Chairman and CEO Larry Inserra and Inserra family members will be on hand for the event.
To celebrate the occasion and in honor of the holiday season, they will present a $10,000 check to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and donate $5,000 in gift cards to the Elmwood Park Food Bank. It also will provide 30 turkeys to St. Leo’s Church in Elmwood Park.
Inserra officials said the new ShopRite of Elmwood Park will offer a wide selection of groceries, fresh produce and locally sourced foods and specialty and prepared items.
The store also will feature signature Inserra Supermarket departments, including a from-scratch fresh bakery offering store-made bread, cakes and pastries, Antoinette’s Kitchen with a hot bar and ShopRite’s popular grab-and-go Fresh to Table meal solutions, Patsy’s Butcher meat department with trained butchers and full-service seafood, deli and floral departments.
