Parsippany-based accounting firm Sax LLP, a top 100 accounting tax firm, recently announced its continued growth with the appointment of six new partners – Joseph Bulger; Rory Cahill; Julio Jimenez; Mateo Perezrodriguez; Peter Scalise; and Eric Lewandowski. The additions expand Sax’s areas of expertise so the firm can continue to provide clients with the necessary consultative services to help grow their businesses.

Bulger is a Partner at Sax and the firm’s Private Client Services Practice leader. He provides a breadth of accounting, tax and advisory services for family offices, financial service executives, real estate developers, owners of privately held companies, and wealthy individuals. With over 30 years of tax experience, Bulger is a recognized expert in managing and preserving the wealth of high-net-worth families and addressing accounting, tax, and business issues. Bulger was a Partner in the Big 4 and a Managing Director and Founding Member of a high-net-worth tax boutique before joining Sax.
Cahill, a Partner in the Tax Department at Sax, specializes in the taxation of corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, with a particular focus on real estate. He works extensively with real estate funds, developers, owners, and operators on tax compliance and structuring matters. With over 15 years’ experience, Cahill is a noted expert on joint venture formations, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, both in the corporate and partnership context. Prior to joining Sax, he practiced in the real estate and mergers & acquisition practices of both Big 4 and national firms.
Jimenez joins the firm as partner-in-charge of Sax’s Tax Controversy Practice, where he specializes in complex tax controversy issues, leveraging his IRS experience to represent clients successfully before taxation authorities. Prior to joining the firm, he served in technical leadership roles at the national office for two Big 4 public accounting firms, his own tax advisory practice, and the IRS National Office of the Chief Counsel in Washington DC, where he was involved in IRS examinations, litigation, and Department of Treasury published guidance.
Perezrodriguez joins the firm as a partner and Strategy Lead for Sax’s Transaction Strategy & Transformation Practice both domestically and internationally. As a trained economist with an independent and applicable approach to strategy and execution, he is a functional expert in business diligence, merger/carve-out strategy, and execution. Throughout his 10+ year career, Perezrodriguez has advised privately held companies, their founders, and PE investors in the broad range of middle markets.
Scalise serves as a Tax partner and the Federal Tax Credits and Incentives Practice leader at Sax. Scalise is a distinguished member of the Accounting Today Top 100 Influencers and has approximately 30 years of progressive Big 4 and Top 100 public accounting firm experience developing, managing, and leading large-scale tax advisory practices on a regional, national, and global level. He is a renowned thought leader in accounting and taxation with deep subject matter expertise in connection to designing, implementing, and defending sustainable methodologies for specialty tax incentives.
Lewandowski joins SAX as a partner and leader of the Transaction Strategy & Transformation practice. He has extensive experience advising private equity funds and corporations on buy-side and sell-side due diligence, growth strategy, performance improvement, cost optimization, and other consulting services.
