Police say a McDonald’s employee in Unity Township, Westmoreland County was assaulted over an iced coffee order.The incident happened on Halloween at the location at Mountain Laurel Plaza.State police said Jordan Ripingill, 33, of Latrobe, had made an order through the drive thru and was upset that the iced coffee was made incorrectly.Investigators said Ripingill then went into the McDonald’s and began shouting and yelling, using obscenities in front of employees, customers and children.Police said an employee tried to fix the order and gave a refund and told Ripingill not to return because of his behavior.Police said Ripingill attacked the victim, throwing him to the ground and hitting him in the face.He is charged with misdemeanor simple assault and two summary charges.
