George A. Homeyer, Jr., age 68, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Bayshore Medical Center. Born in St. Peter’s Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, George was raised in East Brunswick. He graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1973. He attended Rutgers University and graduated from the NJ Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Science. George settled in Bradley Beach where he resided for over 40 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Benjamin Moore & Co. as a researcher and developer for over 25 years. George was an avid reader, especially in the field of science and history. He enjoyed baking and cooking, and he would travel to participate in the Chili Cook Off.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Lorraine Homeyer. Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Kathleen Homeyer and his sister, Laura Homeyer Smith of Raleigh, NC.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 1-3 PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd, Wall, NJ, with a Memorial Service to take place at 2:30 PM. Committal will be private.
