Cool-down mid next week brings rain chance…
TONIGHT: Increasing Clouds, Not As Chilly. Lo 39. Winds SW 0-5 mph.
SATURDAY: Partly Sunny, Milder. Hi 61. Lo 40.
SUNDAY: Partly Cloudy. Hi 61. Lo 40.
We managed to outperform expectations and break into the 60s for what was a sunny and milder Friday afternoon. Increasing cloud cover overnight will limit nighttime cooling, resulting in lows around 40. Mild and dry conditions last through the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday will have highs in the low 60s.
Several weak disturbances move just north of the area next week. A stray shower is possible Tuesday with a better chance for showers by late Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures will stay seasonable next week, peaking in the mid-60s for Election Day. Rainfall deficits continue to grow and while no major drought updates have been posted, our southern-tier counties remain “abnormally dry”. Even next week, 0.50″ seems like the ceiling from the storm system on Wednesday/Thursday. We’ll keep you posted.
