PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A suspect was shot and killed while trying to rob a convenience store in Philadelphia, according to police.
Investigators say it happened at approximately 10:40 p.m. on the 1300 block of South 58th Street in the Kingsessing neighborhood.
The adult male was armed during the incident, police say.
A store employee shot the attempted robber multiple times.
Authorities say there were several witnesses in the store during the incident.
The suspect was pronounced dead a short time after the shooting.
No further information has been released at this time.
