Wow it was a hard week of processing the news, it’s a heartbreaking situation happening in the middle east. It’s difficult to focus on decorating and blogging when so many people are suffering in that part of the world.
What did make me feel good was a visit from my cousin who is the same age as me. We hadn’t seen each other since before the pandemic so we had a lot to catch up on. We spent time exploring Sonoma since she had never been here, then we stayed up late talking until 1 in the morning. It’s so nice to reconnect and share good conversation with someone special who lives the rest of the year so far away. Having real conversation is so good for the soul.
